Which laptop would be best for school and a little bit of gaming?
I'm mostly torn between the ordinal and third, but the prototypal one, but I'm no good at judging a realistic card, so I'd like some opinions first :
I'm also trying to stay beneath 1,000 on this.
For school, it would rattling only be running Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and other kindred programs. web development major, realistic design minor; that was all they told me I'd be using, anyhow
As farther as recreation goes, it'd mostly be for Fallout 3 & mayhap New Vegas when it comes out. Maybe the senior Wolfenstein games, but those aren't just high-end graphics.
If there's some problems with the separate graphic game in those laptops, which ones should I be ownership an receptor out for? o:

What could be wrong with my wireless connection?
1. I separate Windows 7 on an ASUS laptop.2. For the time couple life I haven't been healthy to enter to any wireless network edifice or home .
3. However, I am healthy to connect via ethernet cable without issue.
4. Device manager doesn't show some problems with my Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter, and
5. I've already proven reinstalling the driver.
6. When I unstoppered Network Connections, it shows the network adapter existence enabled and adjoining at a speed of 412.3 Gbps ? , and that IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity are "Not Connected."
7. When I utter diagnose, I get the message, "There strength be a problem with the utility for the Wireless Network Connection Adapter."
8. When I click for details, I get the message, "Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP prescript arrange to the network adapter."

Gaming Laptops? Which are best?
Looking for a enthusiastic recreation laptop that can hold games same MW2 and LFD mutiplayer online on Steam in broad resolution hopefully with no lag at all. Looking for large ram, broad video graphics card, decent hard intend space, Windows 7 and 64 bit. I know the laptop will probably need a cooling fan and the shelling module be short-lived. Is Asus or Alienware better, when it comes solely to performance? Then when price is involved, which is better for a person who doesn't poverty to pay 3000 ? Should I get intel i5 or i7?Thanx

Michael Scott: The machine I am using currently has 1 GB Ram, can't check 720p videos without Brobdingnagian lag, has plenty of hard drive space left, and lags even when games are played in 640x480.

I have a pretty good screen Intel Quad 9450 cpu machine at home, also a 10 inch netbook, along with a 17 progress HP Pavillion. I'll be feat soured to Lincoln soon, do I really requirement added laptop? We all know how pricey post secondary is, but I really poverty added laptop. Though, If i don't need one, I won't buy one.As for residence, Ill be staying at home. I won't be bringing around my 17 progress laptop, maybe my Asus netbook at best. Is that enough? Do i requirement another laptop? If so, what is the recommended concealment size?

Mini PC/desktop as a normal PC?
So, I'm not in college yet, but I was intellection once I did get there of using a mini pc as my machine instead of a laptop.
